Hi rob:I've always enjoyed watching you work the bulls.You just get on in there and give it lots of try.I like to think of it as ballet in rodeo dirt.I'm 46 and went to Sankey Rodeo School for bull riding in Penrose,Colorado in October 2009.My first animal was a steer since I'd never ridden.He got a back hoof through the right arm hole of my vest,popped my side and bruised my ribs for 2.5 months.I still want to get back on them.Bull fighting was a close second.Tough decision since both are very exciting.I had talked to Bennie Bob Patrick at the High Country Stampede in Fraser,Colorado after a night performance.He gave me some great advice.Only you can make the decision for you.Bennie had two students at his bullfighter school in Penrose.While we were involved with riding I kept watching him and his students.At one point they didn't want to move up to a bull and I so wanted to jump in the arena and work this bull.I'd like to ride them first and then later go to school so I can learn how to fight them.I hope to go to Steamboat in September and meet you.When do you have your school for bullfighters and where?I'm looking at your's and Lyle Sankey's schools.I have almost all of my riding gear.I'm 6' and weigh 185 pounds.Is that a good size for bull fighting?I live in Denver and ride my road bike up lookout mountain and like hilly terrain but also flats.I enjoy trail running and I'm in pretty good shape.Maybe I can go to bullfighting school in the future.Carl Nance of Aurora had told me he learned how to fight bulls at your school.I already have football cleats from when I played goalkeeper in outdoor soccer.You rock!!!Where is Shamrock located in relation to Lufkin,Texas?I graduated from Lufkin HS in 1983. Hi Rob. I'll be seeing you in Carney this weekend. I'm a member of the sherrif's possy and we'll be patrolling the grounds at the Rodeo. They were practicing the other day and I stopped by there and rode a bull! Always wanted to do that and finally lived my dream. It was fantastic.

It was an absolute pleasure visiting with you on the flight from Omaha NE to Dallas TX on 2-28. The opportunity to meet and visit with a celebrity that my family and myself enjoyed back in Minot ND at the Y's mens rodeo turned a flight delay into an experience we both won't forget. Mr. Smets, I'm a 19 year old student at Texas Tech University. I love to fight bulls.
